I'm the sole proprietor of my business. About a month ago, 5 attempts were made to run $1800 through my store; of which all were declined. Square looked into this because of fraud aspect (this attempt was virtual, not from bricks and mortar), I knew nothing about this until I received an email.
The upshot of this is they cleared me of fraud (?, I was the victim!) but they suspended all my revenue, effective from the day before this event up until current. I of course rely on that income to stay in business, its my operating revenue.
I've had to link my bank account twice because the info. disappeared; all seems to be well now, account is verified. But Square will not give me my revenue! Yet they were able to withdraw $63 from my account! I keep speaking to their customer support, they say they will send info. to whomever, funds should be released shortly. And that's it! Nothing. My mental and physical health is becoming impacted, my landlord is threatening to evict and I don't know where to go or how to get this resolved. If I need to do another step, no-one is telling me what that would be.
Who is the regulating body for Square?
Surely they aren't doing this for the interest?
