If it’s been over 10 days since you ordered a reader, and you haven’t received it, try the following tips:

If you need a reader immediately, pick one up at a participating retail store. If it's your first magstripe reader, we’ll pay you back for the cost.

I’ve ordered my strip about three weeks ago and have not received it yet. I checked tracking and it seems to be stuck in one place. Can I buy one locally. Thank you Matt K

Hey @Burntup - Sorry to hear your order hasn't arrived yet! You can confirm the status of your order within your Square Dashboard. If you're still having issues locating it, feel free to reach out to a team member directly and they can help you investigate further.

 

 

If you need a reader right away, you can purchase the Magstripe at participating retail stores. It's $10, but we'll reimburse you (follow the steps on the packaging). To find the nearest retailer, check out this map. We recommend calling ahead to make sure they have it in stock as the map doesn't account for updated inventory levels.

I received a tracking number with a delivery date of 1/28/20 then it just stops in Phoenix? What’s happened?

Hi @Mrw62

 

When the tracking stops it typically says something like > Tendered To Delivery Service Provider which means it was passed off from DHL to USPS.

 

If it's been past a couple of business days after that- it may of gotten lost in the mail. ☹️

 

Our CS team can help you order another or you can get one in stores and the packaging will come with a code inside to get your $10 back if you need it right away.

A Square email says my magstripe reader was delivered but it isn't here.  Does it get sent when it is delivered to my door or when it goes to the Post Office.  Who do I tell when it says it was delivered but wasn't!!!!!

Sorry to hear that it's taking so long for your reader to arrive despite it saying that it's already delivered. There are a few ways we could go about correcting this for you. If you'd like, we could place you an order for a new reader today. The alternative option would be for you to go into one of our Authorized Retailers and purchase the reader for $10 and be reimbursed by the code in the packaging.

Hi @WildflowerFP - welcome to Square and to the community! 😄

 

The free magstripe reader takes around 10 days to ship via USPS. Unfortunately, there is no option to overnight the reader. You can buy one for $10 and we will credit your account $10. Check out the answer by @VanKalkerFarms - there is a link that will show you a store near you that stocks the magstripe reader. 👍

Why is it taking so long to process my order for the Square Card Reader.  My marketing materials have been shipped but Reader says still processing.  What could be the hold up?

Sorry to hear about the delay—most sellers receive their reader within 10 days of placing their order. If it's been longer than that, please have a look at the reply from VanKalkerFarms in this thread: Where is my Magstripe reader?
