Refund Question

I've used this to allow a customer to pay. There was a discrepancy where a refund was needed. Put in for a refund immediately. It was never refunded to the customer. I called Square they directed me to CashApp. They had no idea of the transaction. Called back to Square they said that it had to do with that persons bank. No one could locate the transaction.. I ended up having to refund the customer myself with no further knowledge of whether Square or CashApp actually refunded the money.  How should the refund process work thru the CashApp option?  Because this was a mess.
