Lack of response from SBA

Anyone having difficulty getting a response from the SBA?

I applied for Targeted advance as well as an adjustment to my EIDL loan at their ask.

I recieved an meemail as "declined unable to process" and that an email would be sent soon. That was a month and a half ago. All I get is form emails when I ask..... so frustrated.

Okay, I never tried to login directly, so I'm not sure if these next steps will be of any help or they may even be things you have already tried. 

 

Speaking with 4 different SBA Reps, 1 of them was extremely helpful.  If by chance you have your original EIDL SBA application email, try clicking the link from there to access your account.  I'm not sure why, but when I clicked the view account from the most recent EIDL advance, it glitched and my account showed declined.

 

-Another thing to try as well is in the top right where it says "change business", Click on that and try to select the other option. For some reason it created a second account and was showing the "declined" account as my main one.

 

-Double check all the documents needed if any of them refresh under steps complete, and/or click on them one by one.

 

The targeted took about the full 21 business days for me, I just got approved (not funded yet) on Saturday my status changed.  I did put in for an adjustment for the EIDL as well, a week or so ago and that still says processing. 

 

If none of those things above work for you or your situation, I would def. call the SBA until you get a rep that can hopefully figure out your situation.

I know this doesn't really pertain to Square. But I had a problem "glitch" with the Targeted EIDL as well.

 

@808Sweetshack ,Are you clicking the link to view your account  status from the latest email that was sent after you applied for the targeted EIDL or are you logging into your account directly?

this was great info! THANK YOU

I did click o change business name and my orig EIDL app showed as well as the Targeted advance. I click on that and submitted. We will see what happens. Weird it is like this. I wonder how many others have had the same issue. wow.....

Yeah I waited a full month after submitting the targeted before getting through to a Rep who dug into it.

 

Then of course I had more documents that needed to be re-submitted and the wait again.  I honestly checked it everyday just to make sure no other documents were needed. I still have yet to receive any email (not even one that says it was approved). It's something goofy with their system and  I'm sure a lot of people are out of the loop.

Just a HUGE thanks again!!

I finally got my advance this week. 

Would have probably missed it if you hadn't told me about the double account probability.

Not a problem at all. I know i've had some frustrations with the SBA Portal  itself being pretty goofy with everything that is going on and the notifications don't always seem to update properly.

 

But Glad that things went through for you, and I'll be sure to stop in  if I ever get the chance to visit the 808!

I don't use Square checking.  I am actually unsure if Squares Checking can accept a deposit from an SBA transfer.

yes I was able to retrieve but I had them deposit in to my business account not square checking. I do not use it
