I was told that the account was deactivated and the funds would be held permanently

My account was closed in 2022, and I was told by email that my money would be paid 120 days later. In this year, I still did not receive my money, I contacted them, they told me that they had conducted a high-risk review, and decided to hold my money indefinitely, and I sent them any email did not get a response, I need to get my money back. Do I need to get the How to initiate Arbitration tutorial

Hi there @ANTONIOMULLINS.  Sorry to hear about this.  Three years is a long time! Unfortunately, this is a question that can only be answered by your attorney.  You need to contact them as we are not able to give any legal advice on this forum, at all.  Best of luck!

Why did you not pay me the money by the release date you promised at that time? In addition, your terms of service did not state the holding of funds in perpetuity, but why did I receive an email to hold my funds in perpetuity

I am a fellow seller, @ANTONIOMULLINS.  Not Square.  I’ll tag the Square moderators here to see if they have any insights.  But they will no doubt take this conversation off line as this is a very public board and you don’t want personal financial stuff being discussed here.  Obviously they found something concerning about your account or the transactions, or they were alerted to suspicious activity by the card networks.  Maybe the moderators can be more informative.  In any case, if you feel you must pursue this legally, you will have to engage the services of an attorney.

Hi, @ANTONIOMULLINS - I have moved your post to a private board, as the Square Community is a public forum.

Can you provide the email for the account where the funds are being held? I can take a closer look.
