Customer paid over the phone issue

I had a customer pay by phone today I had to manually enter the card. It was approved and I sent her a receipt.  It doesn’t show the balance on my square card. Any typical reason why? I never had to do a manual enter on here yet. Anyone that can help it would be appreciated
