My business has two business names registered with the state because I operate a national online business and a local brick and mortar. The brick and mortar operates under the national online business. All legal business matters including bank accounts are under the national online business, which I do not use square. The local brick and mortar does use square. So I would like to change my business name in square to my local brick and mortar business name. But I am afraid that this would affect my electronic deposits from square. Two of the places that the business name appears is in the 'About My Business' and 'Bank Accounts' settings. If I edit and change the business name in the 'About My Business' will it change my business name in the 'Bank Accounts' section? I am afraid to try it because it was difficult to get square to work correctly and I don't want to mess with the settings. I am trying to avoid any potential of my bank not accepting my electronic deposits. The only online support articles that I could find that was somewhat related was about what I assume were physical checks, which I did not know was even an option, and would not want to do anyway.
