How does Square expect us business owners to grow when they don’t even provide any protections to our funds? We had a string of fraudulent charges hit our square checking account and square dragged it out over 6 months and then ruled that they would not give us our money back. Despite having all the proof that these charges were fraudulent and following all the square procedures on my end you guys sent me this:
“Section 32 of Square’s agreed-to Square Checking Terms of Service2 states in part: “...COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE SAME LEGAL REQUIREMENTS FOR LOST/STOLEN CARDS THAT APPLY TO CONSUMER ACCOUNTS. Your Card Account is a commercial account that does not provide protections for lost or stolen Cards except as expressly stated in this Agreement....”
Reaching new heights is pretty hard when we are working for free because Square doesn’t protect us from people taking our money.

I had someone from Puerto Rico want their items shipped to a different address 1000's of miles away. I was still charged processing fees even though it was a scammer.
Why was my question moved to a different topic board?
Hi @MerchMyWay, I'm really sorry for the confusion and the trouble that came up with those payments.
The product team members who will be responding to the branding questions in the previous thread will not be able to assist with account-specific questions. In order to keep the discussion focused on feedback that they can address, I went ahead and moved your post to the Help board.
For privacy and security reasons, we aren't able to get into account or payment issues within online forums. If you're still encountering any trouble with or have questions about these charges, please get in touch with the Customer Success team directly. They will be able to take a deeper look into your account.
This is an issue that should be in the Q&A forum and one that should be discussed by you on the 15th. The serious lack of concern or security Square shows for their customers profits are really concerning. No business can grow when you don’t protect us businesses from fraudulent charges and scams. I would like it to be seen in the Q&A and not hidden in another thread.
