What does the Network Error Message mean? I see it when I try to swipe a card
The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Network Error Message
I just purchased square last night and when going through the walk through I tried swiping a credit card and it kept responding with Network Error, try again later. I skipped the walk through and tried again with the same message showing up. I can manually type in the credit card though. Any suggestions?

@psfern This does sound a bit strange. Have you tried any troubleshooting? Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if that helps.

I did have the same thing, where a customer's card will go through easy and another onw will yell me with red banner,"Netwoek Error" I'm assuming either the card cannot be readable, or the card is declined, however, it will not all the time say network error for a declined card!

@Yummies Hmm that sounds strange.
Do you have a strong internet connection at the location where you take payments? Have you tried running through these troubleshooting steps for the Point of Sale app? (Or for the Register troubleshooting steps are here.)
When a card is declined the message you see in app is a bit different, it'll say 'Declined. Please use a different card.' (A full list of in-app messages for declined payments is in the Support Center.)
