Staff Availability - calendar

In the hospitality business we end up hiring a lot Uni (college) students who often have fairly involved availabilities. It’s not as simple as them saying I can’t work Sundays etc and loading that into Square.  I’d love the capability of a staff member availability calendar (for those that wish to use it). Where staff can block our specific dates or weeks that they can’t work making it easier for me to complete rosters without referencing multiple texts, notes or emails! Especially at this time of year when my staff have uni exams, study weeks and such in one of the busiest times of the year!

Can you confirm whether your staff are currently using the Square Team App to submit time off requests and available hours? Or is this information being submitted outside of Square at the moment?

Hey Laurie, 

Yes my team use the Square Team App but because they can only set their available hours as "all Sundays" for example when they may only be available certain Sundays, I have to manually track all of their requests manually outside of the App. It makes the availability setter somewhat redundant except for say my part time staff who work set days.

I'd love them to be able to set their specific availability over the course of a month via a calendar within Square Team App.

Just stepping in while @Laurie_ is out of office. Thank you for sharing this feedback about the Square Teams app - having to track your staff's availability in two places definitely doesn't sound ideal. We'll pass this feedback on to our team and see if there are any workarounds for this use case.
