We have been using Homebase for the clock-in and clock-out for our employees for 4 years or more Lately, new employees clock in and out are not transferring to Square . The setup on everyone is the same, or they appear to be, but I have to create new timecards for those employees that have recently hired on. The interesting thing is that a few of the new ones transfer seamlessly, while most don't. Does it have anything to do with how they download the homebase app?
Hi @encountercafe. It has been a few years since I used Homebase for clocking in and out. But, when I did, one thing that I learned pretty quickly was that Homebase was actually in control of the syncing process. In other words, Square didn’t go fetch timesheets from Homebase, but rather Homebase pushed timesheets to Square. A few times that I had syncing issues, I reached out to Homebase and they fixed whatever the myseterious issue was with that employee that wasn’t syncing. It turned out they could see syncing errors internally and were able to correct them.
I really doubt that it matters how, or even if, your employees have the app installed. More than likely there is a connection issue with Homebase. You COULD try disconnecting your Homebase account from Square and re-connecting it, but I’d recommend at least touching base with Homebase before you do that.
I wish you good luck and a speedy resolution!
Thanks a lot Chip, I reached out to Homebase via chat and they did take care of mu issues. I appreciate your help and quick response.
