Is it possible to see who typed their passcode to approve an early clock in? Or at least what code was used?
Great question! I don’t believe Square currently shows which manager’s passcode was entered to approve an early clock-in, nor does it reveal the actual code used. Passcodes are intentionally kept private for security.
Personal passcodes can track certain team-member activity, but this specific approval doesn’t appear to have a visible audit trail for the employer. I agree that showing who approved the early clock-in, without displaying their passcode, would be a helpful accountability feature. I’d recommend submitting this through the Feedback Hub as a feature request.
Hey @airsartroh !
This isn't a functionality, unfortunately. I'm setting up a new location and I'm considering taking a look at Square badges to try and limit any potential passcode sharing.
I would communicate to your staff (and maybe include it in a handbook) that early check-ins without prior, written approval from management will not be compensated.
Especially helpful if you believe shenanigans is happening.
