Canadian Visa Card processing

How do I take a payment over the phone from an international customer. He has a Visa card but his postal code is Canadian which has Letters and Numbers and Square calls the code invalid?

Tks Jack

@JackC There are lots of posts on this subject in the community.  I scanned them, and came up with a few things to be aware of:

  1. Be sure that the postal code is EXACT and in the correct format: A1A 1A1 (Note the space after the 2nd “A”)
  2. All information must be exact.  Even the slightest variance in name or postal code, etc, will cause a rejection
  3. However, some people have had luck putting a zip code of five zeroes - 00000
  4. Here’s a Square Help Article on International cards — https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5085-accepted-cards
  5. If all else fails, you’ll have to contact customer success

Hopefully one of those things can help you.
