Can I give my staff the ability to only see (not edit) my calendar?

I run a music studio. I want my instructors to see their appointments but nothing else. What is the best way to do that?

I can see this is your first post in the Seller Community. I am so glad you are here! This is a great place to find workarounds and answers to your questions while on your journey with Square. 

 

You can give your staff the ability to only see their appointments. We have a Team Management software that allows for this. Square offers free Team management and then paid Team management plus. 

 

With the free Team management, you can create one permission set for all of your staff members. Please check out this Support Article that highlights permission sets that you can set up for your staff. 

 

These are the permissions for Appointments that you can either allow or not allow your staff to have access to. 

Permission Description
View Personal Calendar Allow team member to access their own calendar in Appointments or Dashboard.
View All Team Member Calendars Allow team member to access all staff members’ calendars in Appointments or Dashboard.
Configure Appointment Settings Allow team member to access and manage the Online Booking site, as well as settings.

How does my team login to see the calendar? I'm not clear on his login credentials.

Also. It seems that I cannot turn off the checkout feature. I don't want to give them the ability to do anything related to sales transactions.

Hi, @thablaze_57 !

 

When you set up a team member, they will use the email address they gave you to set up their profile. When they log in, they will only be able to see what you have given them access to. 

 

To create a team member so that they have their own login credentials: 

 

  1. Log in to your online Square Dashboard and click Staff > Team > Team members.
  2. Click + Team member. You can also create a team member in the Square Point of Sale app by tapping Team.
  3. Fill out the team member’s Profile. Enter the team member’s name, email address, and/or phone number. A unique email address or phone number is required in order to complete creation of the team member. The team member ID is optional, but we recommend filling it out.
  4. Click Next.

Note: If the team member has a Square account with a previous Square employer with the email address or phone number on file, they must provide a different email address.

 

Right now, checkout can not be toggled off as a permission.
