Employee additional withholding is more than paycheck

I have an employee who wants to have $100 in additional withholding taken out each month. She will be gone for two weeks during the month of May and she is concerned that her paycheck may be very limited with that additional money taken out. Should she just change the withholding amount for that check or is there a limit that Square takes out when something like this happens?

Hey @KYLWC,

Welcome to the Community.

An employee has the flexibility to edit their W-4 at any time. However, it's unnecessary to make changes to the W-4 if payroll processing for the employee won't occur during that period.

Will she be receiving pay in May?

Yes, she’ll work about 50% of her normal hours that month. It’s likely that she would make more than the additional withholding amount but having it all taken out would leave her with very little pay that month.
