Virtual Terminal Employee Permissions & Cash Management

We use a separate software system for appointment and tracking and I was looking into switching to square appointments since I use square for credit card payments.  I have multiple issues that don't seem to get addressed on here for years. The biggest concern we have is our virtual terminal is connected to our desktop computer so that my staff can just click right on the virtual terminal tap to take payment and then click back onto our software to record the payment on the client. This works for cards, but I need cash management as well in order to fully switch to square and that is not an option unless I use the virtual terminal by itself without it being linked to my computer. This seems ridiculous since I can access the square terminal from my computer. is this a feature that will be added SOON - not years from now?

Welcome to the Ideate Board. 

 

When it comes to accessing the Virtual Terminal, you can edit the permissions for you employees to limit what they can do on your Dashboard. Being able to take payments on the Virtual Terminal is an option. I have added a screenshot below.

Could you give me some more information on what you're looking for when it comes to Cash Management? Or the headaches you're seeing with the current Cash Management options? 

I will keep an eye out for your reply👀.

@Kassi_  i have been on 2 phone calls and a chat and all 3 have told me that the cash drawer management option is NOT available if you are connected to your virtual terminal via yout desktop. I pull up virtual terminal on my web browser on desktop. I do not type anything into the terminal it just prompts clients to pay. I can turn on the cash acceptance but I am not able to access any cash management (opening a drawer, closing drawer, etc) because I have been told by square support that is not an option once connected to any device other than the terminal used itself. I know how to accept the cash but need the office end of it to be available to us who use a tablet or desktop to send info to the virtual terminal.
