Have a way to export Shifts Schedule to Google or Apple Calendar

Once I have written the schedule, there is no way for any of my staff members to see what the whole schedule is. Every week I have to manually write it out in an email. There should be a way to easily copy the schedule into a google calendar like most other software programs have, so everyone can view them with their their google accounts.

Hi @Decades , this request has been previously submitted. We appreciate you sharing your business use case and why it would be valuable for you. I have merged your submission with the other request here. If you know of any fellow Seller Community members who would like to see this built out as well, feel free to tag them in your post so they can share their thoughts as well! The more sellers chime into the request, the more likely it is to catch our product team's eye.

We appreciate your patience.

Hi @Decades - thanks for the feedback!

We are continuing to look at how we can best share out schedules and other staff wide announcements.  Have you explored using the Team app with your staff?  Once published, they can view the schedule right from their mobile devices and get relevant push notifications.

Perhaps not the correct venue for this, but API access to scheduled shifts would be a great benefit to my business. We can get worked shift details, but there are many instances where being able to access scheduled shifts, both before and after actually scheduled, would be very helpful for information sharing and process automation.

Exporting schedules would be better than nothing, but API access to real time schedules would be best.

Hi @tdgjrb - thanks for the feedback.  We are looking into how we can best expose the API for you to leverage as needed.  Can you elaborate on how you would use this data via API?  Where would you be pulling the data and how are you using it in a different application?

Hi @JasonSQPM - We have a few use cases. I'll describe them briefly and you can ask follow up questions if you have any.

This is all for my own business, but I can see how it could be incorporated into a product for subscription.

  1. We'd like to be able to lookup scheduled team members so that we can share that information with customers via email or text or other channels.
  2. We'd like to be able to check clock ins against schedules so that we know if someone is late for their shift or someone unscheduled clocked in. The idea is that we could do this more or less in real-time so that an alert could be generated while there is still time to do something about it.
  3. When looking (via API) to fill unexpected shifts, it would be good to know who is already scheduled and if any potential resource is close to going into overtime.

Generally, it would be helpful to be able to access the schedules in real time for automated operations and reporting.

Let me know if this makes sense.

Thanks for aksing!
