House accounts

So here’s an idea for the new added feature House accounts. Can we get a different way to pay besides creating an invoice? Like here’s my idea. So the persons bill is $599.96

say they want to pay only $300. Can we get a button specifically for house accounts where we can make payments (not on invoices)

This could indeed be a valuable feature, especially for businesses that offer credit or house accounts to their customers.

By implementing a dedicated "Make Payment" button within the house accounts section, you would simplify the process for both your staff and customers. Customers could easily specify the amount they want to pay, and your system would record these payments accordingly. Please let us know if you are thinking of this process differently. We are always open for suggestions to help our Square sellers. 

At this time of the process we will open this feature to other seller so they can provide their input as well. Once we an update to provide we will make sure to change the status of this post.

The way the payments are tied to invoices definitely doesn't allow for the flexibility of real life scenarios. We have customers that mail in checks for their account payments. Sometimes they pay early before I've had a chance to do the invoice. Sometimes they accidentally pay the wrong amount.

We are in a similar situation. Most of our customers who have a house account pay with cash or a check. We have a Square Register that allows us to take cash and checks. Is there really no way to pay a balance of a house account with a cash or check?
