It would be much better if Square accepted EBT directly. The integration with TotilPay isn't that great...non-existent actually, so having to learn and use two different POS systems to run my business is very inconvenient.
I agree 100%. We are a direct-to-consumer farm. It is a HUGE pain to switch between different apps. We also take online orders. It would be very beneficial if square would program their online check out process to be able to accept SNAP. Square is definitely lagging behind on this.
Your feedback and insight on this feature request is greatly appreciated. We can understand the inconvenience in this case. At this time, we are evaluating other potential solutions for EBT acceptance but cannot provide a timeline of when these other options will come available. Since this particular feature isn’t currently available on our platform, we have updated the status to “Open” so other Square sellers can chime in and add their use case.

Direct integration for SNAP/EBT to be swiped at the CFD would be great. We had to currently suspend our EBT sales due to constant issues/errors with Totilpay
As another farm-to-table business (we sell beef from our cattle to our community) we were very interested in getting into EBT sales, but it looks like I'll be looking at other providers since the feedback I have seen on the single option with Square has been subpar, to put it gently.
Please make adding a fully integrated EBT payment feature a priority.
