Hey everyone,
I’ve been editing some promotional videos for my store using this mobile free editor that makes things super easy, but I’m running into an issue when uploading them to my Square site. The videos look crisp on my phone, but once they’re uploaded, the quality drops, and sometimes they don’t play smoothly on certain devices.
I’m not sure if it’s a file format issue, compression, or something with Square’s media processing. Has anyone else dealt with this? Are there recommended video settings that work best for Square’s platform?
Would really appreciate any advice—thanks in advance!

Capcut is probably the most used video editor out there for mobile processing so I wonder what resolution you are uploading and if it is too big for Square and somehow it is dropping it down to 480p or something like that. Another option is maybe It is kinda like when you upload to YouTube that a 4K video is first available in 480P, then 720P, then 1080p, then 1440, then finally 4K and that could take hours of processing on the backend.

Thank you for your post, @karen447. I am not super familiar with Capcut, but @VanKalkerFarms' suggestion of checking the resolution of your video is a great place to start.
Please let us know if this helps, and if not, I can do some digging around and see what I can find on this for you!
