Feature Request: Grow Email incentive (coupon etc.) AND/OR Automation to welcome new subscribers

As marketers, we really need a way to incentivize email signups through the usual practices (social media, etc). 

There should be a way to either:
(A) Send an automation to new subscribers thanking them for signing up for our email newsletter by offering them a coupon or discount on their first visit, and/or
(B) Offer an automated incentive (coupon/discount etc.) from the email signup page. 

Neither currently exist, although Square does offer a coupon to SMS subscribers. Please make this an option. Our goals for 2023 are to work with a partner to help grow our email list. Currently I will have to use a third party to accomplish this and then manually add those people to our Square customers lists after the fact. Very messy and inefficient.

Hello @Jess12 thanks for your post. There are some automations available ...check in your Square Dashboard > Marketing >Automations. You can set up different triggers, including sending to customers after their first puchase. I know this isn't the same as an email signup.

 

If you use the Loyalty Program, you also have the the option to set rewards for your customers at different levels of spending, and you can incentivize your customers with extra points for providing their email address after they signup.

 

Perhaps another Square Community Member would have some other suggestions on how to use some currently available automations to grow your email list.

The goal is to capture NEW customers, not engage with existing ones. I'm familiar with the Loyalty options and existing 1st purchase automations. Neither of these accomplish the goal of growing my email lists. 

Even if I use a third party to capture new emails, importing them into Square via CSV lists doesn't accomplish the new subscribers option as they would have to opt in a second time to receive communication from us through Square.

Hey all, would like to bump this conversation to see if there have been any additional features created. Every thread I've been on and "solution" I've seen has been to send an automated email to engage with customers after they purchase something, however every inquiry I've seen has only been to create an automated email when someone signs up as a subscriber - not a purchaser. I feel like an automated opt in email option is pretty standard on email marketing services (ie. Mailchimp). Have there been any updates on this?
