Change due on wording to due by

Hi. 
I find clients wait till the due on date which is what it says on the invoice. 
can we change the wording to say DUE BEFORE OR DUE BY as clients won’t wait till the due on date to pay. 
I have asked a few clients and they just said they waited till the due on date as it said due on. 
would help us and you get paid sooner. 

I know I can change the due on date to a shorter period but I give people up to 7 days to pay. 
waiting to see how Square feels about this.
