Feature Request: Option to Sell Plastic-Free Physical Gift Cards

We would love to offer physical gift cards in our shop, but are committed to being plastic-free wherever possible so have directed customers to Square's eGift cards... but many still want something to present in person, so it gets printed on the customer side from the email they receive (not ideal). 

Are there any durable paper/compostable options out there for physical gift cards that we could have as an option please? Not really feasible to get our own printed and then hand write the incredibly long serial number generated as staff are bound to make digit mistakes. Thanks in advance for considering this feature request!

That's a great suggestion, and I'll share this feedback with our Product Team today! While we don't have immediate plans to switch from our current physical gift card provider, I do believe there's a compelling argument for introducing an environmentally friendly option that aligns with modern business values.

In the meantime, if you're aware of any other sellers who share your enthusiasm for non-plastic gift cards, kindly encourage them to show their support by adding a comment to this thread. The greater the demand for a feature request, the more priority it is given.

We have been wandering the same. We are a organic grocery and green living store which currently offers paper gift certificates and we have a "gift card redeem" button under discounts. However we would absolutely love to offer an eco friendly swipe card! Please keep us posted!
