Is there a way to duplicate an item?

I am constantly entering new items and it would be so much easier if I could just duplicate an existing item and modify it's name and/or sku. Is there a way to do this?

I have the same problem and I couldn't believe there wasn't a copy/duplicate item. This is a basic feature that all other ecommerce platforms use. It makes data entry much faster. This is something square needs to get to work right away. The other thing I noticed is that not all the item's information gets synched between Square POS and online. for example the pictures don't populate whether you enter them in the POS side or the website. Another thing that does sync is categories. It's quite frustrating because the whole reason I'm giving this a try was to minimize the double entering.

Hi there, @John8424 - thanks for hanging tough with us on this one. We know the lack of this Feature Request can make this process cumbersome, but we are actively working towards bringing item duplication into the fold.

I will march in and declare it's rather ridiculous that an item cannot be duplicated. That said, I'd like to see this feature as priority for the next update to the Square Store. Thanks

This is ridiculous, I have so many items that I am adding from my etsy store that have duplicate descriptions and just different pictures.  This will take forever.  Such a basic thing to have, I don't understand.

You can now duplicate and item from your Item Library in Square Dashboard:

1. Sign in to your online Square Dashboard.
2. Go to your Item Library by selecting Items on the left menu.
3. Find the item you would like to duplicate and tap the three horizontal dots to the right.
4. Select Duplicate from the drop down menu.
5. The item editor will open pre-populated with all the values from the item you duplicated.
6. Make any changes to the duplicated item and click Save.

That's great - but why didn't you also apply this to Service Library?  Sorely needed.

Please add this feature to the service list as well as exporting/importing cv lists. Square appointments cannot book multiple services that have multiple variations. Please also allow our customers to book multiple variations at once. It will help organize the appointment process. It's a tedious process to go through when creating a list of services.

Agree... please add it to the Online platform. It is too time consuming to make the duplicate in the Library and the make the extra 'Online' edits on the other app. The whole idea of having 2 locations to do the edits is ridiculous in the first place.

PLEASE add a duplicate product button!! I've worked in many other shops before and it's a given. Might I suggest you switch your platform to Wordpress.
