We have our normal services setup in the system and bookable. Works as expected. We recently started offering monthly memberships that include using specific services once per day. I had to create new services for the subscription in order to charge the monthly price (and not the service price). In square I setup a reoccurring monthly subscription for the customer, which works great. They are automatically rebilled the first of every month.
My question is, how do you manage these with bookings and checking out? When they book online and choose the service, then when they checkout, they are still charged for the service even though they are on the membership plan. I considered just comp'ing the service 100% when it's time to check out, but would that have an effect on my financial reporting? How is this managed?
Also, are we ever going to be able to create and manage subscriptions from the Square Register?
Hi again @drpcken - Thanks for your patience here.
The team let me know that Appointments doesn't integrate with the subscription checkout links, but packages are currently in Beta!! It seems like you would be a good fit for the Beta Program 🙂 If you are interested in joining, you can send a request here.
I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.
Hi there, @drpcken - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community.
I'm not sure of the answer to this one myself, so I'm going to consult with the Square Appointments team on this one to get the best answer for you.
I'll reach back out to you here once I gather more info!
