Remove "Say hello to Managerbot" pop-up greeting

Every time I login, and most times when I go to the "Home" tab, I receive the popup greeting "Say hello to Managerbot. Your always-on, intelligent business partner". 

I have said hello. I have used Managerbot extensively. I have clicked the "X" to close the popup ... repeatedly. The greeting popup persists.

 

I find no helpful setting to change this behavior. How do I get rid of this message?

Hmmm.  This has to be a random issue only occurring for some.  I haven't seen that popup in weeks.  Over my decade+ with Square I've seen issues like this with popups.  For the longest time (ie - months), the team scheduling module would popup annoying tips and hints.  Then, one day, they stopped.  I'm not sure what happened in either case.  But I'll flag this to the moderators so that the engineers can look into it.  It's probably something as easy as an errant cookie setting.

John, I'm told that ManagerBot is still restricted to the US.  I'm trying to get some specific reasons, but my best guess is that this has to do with each country's laws and restrictions on AI-based tools.  As you know, there is no one-size fits all and companies that offer AI (especially in the world of finance) have to conform to a mountain of differing regulations.  If I learn something different that I can pass on, I will.

I'm in Canada and this bot pop-up is a nightmare. Every time I refresh my dashboard, this dumb pop-up comes up and the only options you have are to either close the dialogue (only for it to come back next time) or ENABLE the bot, which I 130% do NOT want to do. I want it to go away. Forever.

I've learned that this popup is being investigated.  The engineers are trying to get to the bottom of why some sellers (like me) no longer see it, and others still do.  Hang tight, folks.  I'll be back with information when I have it.  But, hopefully, you'll see the change before I do!

Simply "not using it" doesn't make the super irritating pop-up go away. It's there every time you refresh the dashboard. 

 

That and the toast messages when I move items or use my restaurant POS that are useless and literally blocking the buttons I need to do stuff...

 

These are both pretty awful "features".
