Is the customer always, right? I so NO!!

It never fails, each time a customer tries to go up against a company policy or tries to push you into a corner to get things their way they always play the "Customer is always right" card.  Now, I'm not talking about a reasonable, legitimate customer who has played by the company rules.   I mean those people who think that they are entitled and truly believe that businesses have absolutely no rights to defend themselves.  They truly believe that they can buy a product, use it and then return it for a full refund even after your return policy period time has expired.   I'm sure we have all dealt with customers like these before.  You know, those who threaten to put a bad review on a social media platform.   Those who threaten to file a credit card dispute.  Those who claim an item is "Counterfeit" just to get a refund.  Those kinds of customers.  Yes, sometimes it's easy to just give in and move on but once customers know that your business is an easy target, when do you put a stop to it?

I’m so sorry this is happening. And yes, we’ve all had these. First thing you can do is block them from all your social media channels before they have a chance to post there. I wouldn’t worry too much about charge backs as long as you respond to your merchant service with proof of purchase & return policy in the time allotted for response. Anywhere else they leave a review, you can use the opportunity to very professionally leave a response explaining the situation, what you offered & your company policy. This is more so anyone reading reviews can see how you handle customer service. Most people will see who’s at fault with a good response. It sucks but there are things you can do & it’s an opportunity for others to see how you handle your biz. Go block them from everything & focus on all your good customers.

I know you are right.   I do everything I can to avoid this but it's just part of the business.   There are bad people out there always trying to get something for nothing and using every little trick they can to cheat hard working business.   Thank you for commenting.  I appreciate you
