How do you usually check your Square sales during the day?

Curious how other Square sellers handle this.

When you want to check your sales or see how the day is going, what do you usually use?

• iPhone

• Computer / Square Dashboard

• Apple Watch

• Something else?

I usually end up checking my phone, but I’m curious what everyone else uses most often.

How do you normally keep an eye on your Square data during the day?

I run a brick-and-mortar store that I am physically at when we're open. But I still use my phone to check most of the time. I used to have an Android phone and now I have an iPhone. I didn't find the experience any different between them.  If I'm next to the POS I'll pull it up there. Our POS is an iPad with the Square Stand. 

Actually for a general, "where are we at so far today" I don't particularly like the Dashboard. To be fair, I have lots of complaints about how data is handled in the dashboard.

I add the Dashboard as a widget on my iPhone so its on my first screen when I open my phone. It shows Net Sales Today - but you can select it and open the Dashboard App to view more data

I love widgets, and I didn't even know you could add the dashboard as a widget! Love it.

I spend most of my time in the sales trends report throughout each day and I use the main Square dashboard either on my phone or on my computer laptop. 

I don't usually look at the reports on the Square stand POS iPad because those reports run Sunday to Saturday and you have to manually change them every time to our work week setting which is Thursday through Wednesday. 

On the Square dashboard on my computer or on my phone, it remembers that our reporting week is Thursday through Wednesday.

Using my iPhone I opened Square for Retail, select reports, sales I do that on a consistent basis it's so easy

They have a dashboard app for IOS. Much faster way to see the reports and other information

If I am away from where I take sales, I just check the dashboard app. I am able to filter it down a bit, and it gives me a great idea of how well or poorly we are doing.

Honestly, unless the orders are driving actions, like fulfillment for pickup or shipping, it is not necessary to monitor sales during the day. I check at end of day. I might look at the POS after closing or my phone when I get home. There really is nothing you can do, at the store, to increase sales. There are other actions that are mire relevant, such as inventory that is driving restock including supplier orders and merchandising.

Since I don’t have employees I am always the one in front of the register so just pull up the sales report on it a couple times a day

I usually use Square POS when I’m at the store, and SqPulse on my Apple Watch when I’m away.

What surprised me was that I could still quickly check how sales were going and see alerts from my watch even after leaving the store. I didn’t expect to use the watch side of it as much as I do.

I use the square dashboard app, I have the widget on my home screen so I can see how sales are doing no matter where I am I will use square dashboard on the computer if I am in the office. I don't ever pull up reports on the register pos.
