Experiential Retail

Over the last few years there has been a shift in malls having "shops" to "experiences."

Escape rooms, VR experiences, arcades (coming back!), obstacle courses, mini golf!

How do you create an experience?

Have you recently added new services to attract interest?

We definitely have added other classes, basic and advanced wheel classes, mug making, hand-building, bird-houses, pet-portraits. I do feel like people want to do something with people they love not just buying something.

We donโ€™t have a retail store, but when we set up at fairs we invert our booth so people can come inside rather than standing in the aisle looking at something.  We have a bright pink floor and have faux neon signs, a tv running videos of AI kids wearing our clothing in different settings.   We have so many people say when they come in our booth they forget they are at the fair.   In the fair marketing business they say you only have 30 seconds to grab the customers attention and draw them in.

We have always had the tagline: itโ€™s not just a store, itโ€™s an experience!

Thereโ€™s a store tour video on our website repopgifts.com where you can see all of the prop replicas that we build and have as photo-ops.

I do think that whatever experiential element you add to a retail space needs to make sense. Otherwise it seems forced and insincere.

Little by little we human beings are confronted with situations that give us more and more clues that we are not perfect.

We pride ourselves as being a witchy/metaphysical "Disney Land".. we offer tons of classes and services- but beyond that we create amazing spaces.

We're always creating spaces that are photographable that people will want to share on their social media. We have a gorgeous garden where people are welcome to grab a coffee from a local spot and just chill in our Amethyst chair or portal and take a minute to reset.

We've added a very inexpensive bi-weekly tarot class which people seem to absolutely love..

Oh= @TCSlaguna not sure if you sell tarot decks- but if you want to carry mine (from Weiser) I can send you book plates ๐Ÿ™‚
