Data exporting to Excel and similar or a scheduled export

Data exporting to Excel and similar or a scheduled export

Hi,

Would it be possible to have information shared with google sheets, excel or numbers? Or as another option to have the ability to schedule emailed csv exports of reports?

Thanks

Hey @philip-l! Thanks for your post, this is a great question.

You can turn on email notifications to receive a Monthly and Yearly Sales Summary Report in your Account & Settings of your Square Dashboard. Just bear in mind that these are just summaries of your sales, and might not include the granular information that you're looking for.

While auto-emailing advanced reports aren't available just yet, you can still manually export detailed reports directly from your Square Dashboard, in your reports tab. To do so:

  1. Navigate to Reports in your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Use the date-selector to refine a date range, then select a report to view. Note: Click the middle of the date selector to see a full calendar view. This image shows how to set a date range for your report by clicking the middle of the date selector tool.
  3. Select All Day or Custom to specify a time period for your report in hours. A view of the fields (when All Day is clicked) to set a custom time frame in hours.
  4. To compare sales within the set date range by day, week, or month, click Summary > Daily, Weekly or Monthly. Scroll down to view a sales summary comparison.
  5. Select All Locations or manually choose locations to review.
  6. Click Export to download a CSV file to your computer, which you can open using Microsoft Excel or another common spreadsheet program or financial software.

I think having automated reporting emails that are customizable is a great idea though! I'll be sure to pass this post on to our product team for better visibility.

Let me know if you need anything else from me!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I found the problem is to do with the page, it needs to been full screen for the options to show, seems it's a known problem, surprised I've not had it before.

I create reports and Xero imports using various reports that I recreate the upload file from, I have tried integration apps but the information isn't imported in a useful format for me and I had to reverse the imports and redo them.

Thanks,
