SOUND NOTIFICATION FOR ONLINE ORDERS

It's ridiculous that this isn't already a feature. We have a small staff and cannot check the iPad every few minutes for a new order - we need to be notified via sound just like any other third-party delivery/pick-up app that there is a new order.

Square Up really can't expect business' staff to function well without this available.

80% of the time, a customer shows up and we do not have the order ready because the staff was not aware of it.

I agree that since Square moved the notifications from in app to OS level the alert sounds haven't been helpful at all.

Here's a trick that I've used to stop staff from missing orders in iOS. (I know something similar is available in Android but I'm not sure where it is in settings)

iOS Settings -> Notifications -> Square

Make the notifications Persistent. That way the alert will stay on the screen until someone swipes it away. This way your employees will see the order before your guests arrive.
