change color of "variations selection" from gray to white? or something else?

I have many products, each with many variations.  One savvy shopper told me that when she is looking to select a variation they all appear gray.  She thought that because they were gray, they were sold out.  Most of the time "grayed out" sections mean "not available" . Is there a way to change this?     PS.  I have inventory attached to most, but not all, selections.   Thanks.

There's not a setting available that changes the color of variations, but it totally makes sense why your customer was confused by the grayed out text. 

For now, I can bubble this up, but i'm unsure how it would be prioritized. Nonetheless we make announcements on relevant threads on product improvements so keep an eye out.
