how do locations work with the mag card reader

I set up three locations in my account:  two online (one for digital items, one for physical items), and a Mobile location. When I sell at mobile locations, I collect and track sales differently. For example: I have a holiday angel ornament product. Online, users can select multiple options (body, hair and head colors, free or paid add-on's, etc). For my mobile location, I only care about the body color. I take a mix of items pre-made with or without the add-on's.

When I use the mag card reader, can I select which location the reader is using to list items I choose from when I have a credit card sale?

all the readers are "dumb" devices and only process cards.  What you would need to do is log in to your account on your phone and when logging in it will ask you what location you want to use.  this will keep your sales separated.  As for the item, I would have multiple items set up and choose the right one at checkout.
