Trying to figure out a set up for a food truck. I want to set up a square POS system using the stand, thermal printer, cash register, and tablets in the kitchen that shows the orders. I used to have this exact set up in a small fast casual restaurant and it worked great. Will the printer will function with out a landline style router?
Without a router, the ethernet printer will be useless as it will not receive information. You can buy the same kind of printer but it has a USB interface and plugs into the square stand. I believe this is the one but double check it before you buy it. https://www.amazon.com/Star-TSP100-TSP143U-Receipt-Printer/dp/B000FCP92C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491...

I have been experiencing a lot of problems with a similar printer that is connected via bluetooth and goes through an airport utility. Would I be able to use this printer to connect right to the POS? It's a distance of about 15 feet. I'm not sure if a hardline connection is possible.
Hey @Carli, what model printer are you using?
