Why error message on app if my device is on the compatible list?

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 today because it was on the list of compatible devices for Square POS.  But when I went to download the app, I got an error message saying the devices wasn't compatible. ?????  How do I make it compatible?

never mind, now it says it can... not sure why it said it couldn't originally.

Please help ive done trouble shooting and I still keep getting the error message not compatible with my device. Ive check for all updates and still nothing.

Hi @Marie2 - What type of device are you using?

 

Not all devices are compatible with Square, so you should check out this page to double check if your device is listed: https://squareup.com/compatibility

 

If your device isn't listed on that page above, then it isn't compatible and you should find another device to use with Square that is listed!

The device I'm using is a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7.0. 

The tablet is listed but when I go to my app store to download it that's when I see the error message. I have even checked for updates on my tablet and still nothing I just wanted to use that so it wouldn't be so hard for my costumers to sign on a small screen.

Hi again @Marie2. Your device must be running on Android 5.0 or higher and meet the compatibility requirements listed in our Support Center.

 

If your device is up to date and running a version of Android higher than 5.0 please call our CS team so they can investigate this further.
