What is the fee for accepting online donations?

I have an online store that I set up a donations page. I received my first donation and it Square says that only a portion of the amount will be transferred to my bank. What are the fees to receive donations?? I swear I read all the fine print and that's why I used Square. If there are fees to accept a donation, then I can do that with any other app and don't need square.

@Srhswrestling The fee you are seeing is most likely the credit card processing fee that is charged on every credit card transaction.  Online transactions are considered card not present transactions and the fee is 2.9% + .30c.  Here is a link to the fees:

Even if it is a donation, visa and mc always charge and square has to pass that along along with their cost to do business.

I don't know of any place that will process credit card donations for free, even a gofund charges.
