When you sign up for Square loyalty, does every digital receipt show that we have the program available? Basically I am looking to do a trial run on this, but using a select few of our regulars so we can learn the ins and outs-- but I wouldn't want everyone else knowing about it until we decide for sure if it will work out for us or not.

Lot of great info there! However, none of that answers the question I was asking-- unless I am missing something. Will other customers know if I have a loyalty program going on while we are just doing a trial? Will there be some sort of link from Square that is automatically on digital receipts-- advertising a loyalty program? My goal is to do a trial without my customers knowing at the moment. Thanks.
Loyalty won't be advertised on digital receipts, but the option to opt in will appear at the very end of the checkout flow on your POS device.
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to allow only certain customers to participate. Once your program is configured on your account, it will be available for any customer.
Customers aren't physically touching the POS/Square stand at the moment as we are behind plexiglass- so they wouldn't see the option to opt in right now. So, I would assume I'd be able to run this test without any issues then-- ya think?
