Hello friends! My name is Lincoln. I play in a folk band called The Arcadian Wild and we've used Square for several years and have been incredibly pleased with our experience. Previously, we had only sold through Square for live performances at music venues and house concerts, but we recently enabled an online store to sell our merchandise and advance tickets to some of our shows.
Since lots of our concerts happen in private homes, and we wish to refrain from posting our hosts' addresses publicly, we only share the location of each event with those who have already purchased tickets. So far, we've done this manually, creating a spreadsheet of customer names and email addresses, and then personally emailing them the location the day before the event. This works ok, but it's a little difficult to manage, especially if customers purchase tickets at the last minute, after we've already sent out a group message. We have to constantly check our incoming orders leading up to a show and send out several waves of messages, or else we run the risk of a customer purchasing a ticket and not getting the information they need.
We're interested to see if we can issue automated, customized receipts unique to specific items, that give the customer the location of the event upon purchase. Does such a feature already exist, and we're just missing it? Or could this be a new feature to come in the near future?
