Tips reporting ( auto gratuity)
Hi there,
After our restaurant closes each day we tell our staff the total tips for the day, but this has been a manual process for us because we have to go through each check individually to see how much tips.
We we go to Square - Report - Sales Report ( for the day) , under the TIPS ( non cash) it only shows the tips manually entered and not the Automatic Gratuity we put for some checks. Is there a way for Square Report to show all tips ( manual and auto tips) , to make it easy for us to see ALL TOTAL TIPS.
Please advise

@eatMoroccan3119 Are you talking about an auto gratuity that the customer has to pay? If that is so, any type of auto gratuity is not actually considered a tip by the IRS. It is much like a service charge. If the customer can not opt out of the gratuity then it would be inappropriate to classify it as a tip based on current IRS and NLRB guidance.
Now if you are not talking about that kind of situation, there may be something I am missing.

Hi Donnie,
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, that makes sense now. I found it under Service Charge tab.
Thanks !
