Text Message Marketing Coupon Online Store Link

Does anyone know how to change the Online Store link that is auto-generated when sending coupons via Text Marketing? Whenever I setup a Text Campaign with a coupon, the coupon has a default Order Online link but the link is going to an online store that I don't want to use for blanket marketing as I have several online stores based on specific locations. I would prefer to remove the Order Online option on the coupon or at least change it to a more relevant online store.

Hey @NickS

What kind of item is your coupon for? Is it an item in your physical store or online?

Just looking for more information on how you have the coupon set up, so we head in the right direction.

I will keep an eye out for your reply👀

It's just a blanket Coupon. Like 10% off your next visit, etc.. The text message system doesn't really ask me for coupons being related to online vs physical. But we do have both. We have brick and mortar and online stores for each location.

Thank you for confirming, @NickS

Could you drop the link for the coupon, so I can see the pathway for it? And to confirm did you create this through your Square Online Dashboard or the regular Point of Sale Dashboard under Marketing?

Hey there, @NickS

What website is the coupon link taking you to? Is that the only issue you're having with Text Marketing or are you seeing something else?

I will keep an eye out for your reply👀

That is the only issue. Yes. It's linking to https://orderscarletlaneatwestfork.square.site

I would prefer to be able to select which website it links to or to remove Order Online all together if wanted/needed.

Thank you!

Hey there @NickS,

Just jumping in for @Kassi_ here while they're out of the office!

I believe I can point you in the right direction here. So, with your campaigns, you have the option to edit the campaign when navigating from your online Square Dashboard to Marketing > Campaigns. Then, select the campaign you want to edit to load the Design Your Campaign page.

On this page, you can select a specific section of the campaign template and you will see an option to either edit or delete the section. To delete the section, select the red cross to the right of the template. To edit, you can use the menu on the right-hand side of the page to make any changes.

In this case, you can select the section that says 'Order Online' and update the link from the menu on the right-hand side. Alternatively, hit the red cross and this will remove the section entirely. I've included a screenshot below of what this looks like from the online Square Dashboard.

Give this a try on your end and let us know how you go with this!

Here is a screenshot of the coupon as it's being designed. That Order Online button is what I am trying to figure out. It links you to a website I do not want to link to. The older text links aren't allowing me to click them under the Preview button. I am creating them via the Online Dashboard on my Macbook.

Still unable to fully use Text Message Marketing with this issue. Anyone have any answers on how to fix this issue?

I also would like the answer to this problem too. I would rather remove the "Order Online" button if possible. I want my customer to visit my physical store.

I trying to figure a way to disable the online store with hopes this will remove the button .

I opened an incident with Square support. Let's see what they can do :/.  While I'm waiting for their response, I going to try to disable my Square online store to see if that resolves the problem. I don't really use the online store since I have an e-commerce site on another platform.

The problem has been resolved by "unpublishing" my online site. This may not be the answer for you but for me, this works. I now do not have the "Order Online" button.  Took me a while to find the "unpublish" button which is under "Site Preferences" .

Yeah. This wouldn't be an option for us. We use the online websites a lot, but we have several of them and this system is picking one that we don't want to use. It's super frustrating.
