Hi,
I use Square POS for my retail location but also have a webshop running on Shopify. It works well for the most part once everything is set up, but one thing that is really annoying is that I have to manually sync the inventory levels between Shopify and Square - whenever I sell something in the store via Square, I have to update the stock in Shopify so that Shopify always has the latest inventory quantities, and the other way around. Is there an easier way to deal with this?
Thanks!
Jack

Hi Jack,
I'm in the same boat in that I use Square in my store and Shopify for my e-commerce presence. We're using AutoSync for Square, which is a Shopify app that does exactly what you're asking for - it syncs the inventory levels between Shopify and Square. You just set it up once and then it takes care of syncing your stock quantities automatically whenever you sell an item on one of the platforms. Works well!
Best,
Mandy

Also want to chime in that Trunk now syncs inventory in real-time between Shopify & Square

Hi
Just wondering if anything has changed in the last couple of months re: stock level integration?
Thanks

Hey @SEB_2019!
Thanks for your comment and bringing attention to this.
Shopify actually handles all integration requests/troubleshooting as a part of our Partnership Agreement with them. If we receive an update from them on the status of this issue, I will definitely post it in here. Thank you for your patience.

I have a website created using wix.com. We used the square system in our store to sell items is there a way to link the two so when something is sold in store it comes out of stock on the website?

Hey @mspriss! Welcome to the Community.
I moved your post to an existing thread where another seller had the same question.
It looks like this is a feature Shopify has.
I know you have Wix but I figured you could look into this and see if it's something you're interested in if you don't want to manually adjust stock each time manually!

I can recommend a service called SyncPenguin. It has sync connectors for Square and Shopify, and allows two-way sync of inventory, contacts, product migrations, etc. You can actually request a sync solution between any other service of your choice (like Wix.com), and customize the behavior of the sync to fit your specific case.
You can request custom sync here. The pricing is quite affordable and starts at $6.99 per month for shops with a couple of hundreds of products.

Hey @Cory2,
I'm not familiar with SyncPenguin but it doesn't appear to be one of our partnered third party apps.
It may be best to ask a web developer more about this or SyncPenguin themselves.
I'd also recommend doing a Google search for SyncPenguin and Square maybe?
But I can tell you that the reader only works with our app.

Try out Skyvia (https://skyvia.com/data-integration/integrate-shopify-square). It provides a near real-time integration between Square and Shopify without coding. We use a free version now, the data volume is enough for our small business needs.
