Square terminal receipts
We are interested in switching from our current tablet/stand set-up to the Square terminal, however we don't currently print paper receipts and I'm wondering if there's an option to not allow this with the terminal? I like literally everything else about it. If that's not an option, what happens when the printer runs out of paper? Can we still use the terminal until we have time to replace it?

since I can't confirm this cause I don't have a unit yet, I would assume it is just like Square POS where you are given the option to print/text/email after checkout. I don't think it will print automatically. @katieand what are the steps after checkout for receipts on the new Square Terminal?

You can disable the receipt printer on Square Terminal. This is done on the settings tab of the Point of Sale app. With the receipt printer disabled, customers will still have the option to receive a digital receipt.
With the receipt printer enabled, there will be a third option on the receipts screen offering a printed receipt.
