Square for Retail: Why can't I get my labels to print correctly?

Hello - I just setup my Square for Retail. I purchased the Dymo LabelWriter 450 with 3/4" x 2 1/2" Dymo barcode labels.  I entered in a couple of test inventory items.  When I have Square print the labels they aren't printing correctly on the labels.  I have the scaling to 100% and unchecked the "fit" setting.  Argh...this is so frustrating. The first label prints correctly, with the bar code, but the rest only print with the price and item name. The barcode is missing.

Hey @theblueflamingo, welcome to the seller community!

Sorry to hear about the trouble you've been running into with barcode printing. It looks like some other sellers who ran into issues with this were able to resolve by following LocavoreStore's suggestion in this thread: How to Align DYMO printer label 30346, my barcode is cut off.

Hope that helps clear things up! If you still have any other questions, please feel free to reply here or get in touch with our Customer Success team directly.

Thanks. It's not an alignment issue.  The printing comes out fine. I have a Dymo LabelWriter 450. When I follow the instructions (in Square's help section) to print labels the first one prints out fine but the following ones do not.  I have 6 items in inventory, I tell it to print SKU, Description, Price and Bar Code. The first label prints just fine.  The following only print the price and description. No bar code.  Also, I'm using Dymo label 1738595.  It has a top portion for text and a bottom, separate portion, for the bar code. It is printing everything in the top portion and nothing in the bottom. HELP!

Thanks...it's not an alignment issue. I follow the steps one by one and get the label....it prints out fine....just no barcode.   How do I get the bar code to appear?

@theblueflamingo I took another look at your case and I believe you were able to fix this by adding a SKU to each item? If you have any other tips to share please post here to let other sellers know!

My Zebra printer prints labels from my Mac, but they are not orientated correctly. Any ideas?

@GypsyTeas I'm really sorry to hear the frustration regarding your labels. Can you check to make sure your labels aren't printing in landscape mode?

I've also merged your post with an existing thread that has some other troubleshooting steps you can try. Hope this helps!
