Selling by the pound

I have been selling meat priced per pound at the market the last year.  I have the items added so I type the weight into the square and it calculates the total since each cut varies in weight some.  I am setting up an online store and would like to sell it on there as well.  The question I have is it just lists items.  So if they want 2 steaks they just add them and check out, but if they weigh more or less than a pound.  Does it wait for me to enter the weight and then charge them?

As far as I saw, there is not a way currently to sell items by the pound online.

I have not found a way but hoping if enough of us ask they will make that feature an option and or able to edit the sale after the order has been placed so that we can adjust the price to account for actual weight.
