Round-up option for non-profit donation

Square, please add this right away.  I have been asking you all for this for literally years (as a nonprofit ourselves, we would like to give patrons an option to round up to donate to us), but businesses also need the option to help local charities.  When change is in short supply as it is now, this is even more important than ever.  It's undoubtedly a simple option to add, and most of your competitors have it.

Is there a "round up" option to allow customers to donate to charity by rounding up their sale to the nearest dollar?

Adding my name to this list. I work for a non profit and yes, with coin shortage and everything that is happening now, we have some stores wanting to and NEEDING to have people round up and they are offering my non profit the benefits. If they use square it is too difficult. PLEASE get this done NOW.

Thank you for reaching out about this feature. Unfortunately, there isn't an option to add the"round up" amount to the total. 

I moved your post to a Feature Request thread where other sellers have spoken up about this. Also, @VanKalkerFarms provided a workaround you could try.

The United States used to have a half-cent coin. It was discontinued in 1857, because inflation had made its value so low as to not be worth bothering with.

However, when they discontinued the half-cent it was worth the equivalent of 15 cents today. So perhaps the United States should now do away with not only the one cent "penny", but nickels and dimes as well!

Multiple businesses in my area are starting to round cash transactions to the nearest quarter, and customers universally love it. It'd be great if Square offered a setting that does this for us automatically.

As far as the line item figuring of it, perhaps the register could add a "cash surcharge" or a "cash discount" as appropriate, to bring the total up or down to the nearest $0.25 increment. Just a thought.

We have been waiting years for a round up to donate as we are a non profit.  In addition, business’ could also use the feature to donate to charity of their choice.  

When we had to switch to online time slot tickets for Covid19 and the other software we used had that feature and we raise a LOT of money for our on profit. 

If implemented Square benefits by a cut, all be it small cut, of the increased processing fee. 

This feature is a win win if implemented.  PLEASE FINALLY MAKE THIS A PRIORITY!
