Reporting question: How can I track item sales as well as referral sources?

 We sell supplements and have referrals, I need to be able to run a monthly report to determine how many bottles, not sales, were tagged to a certain referral source. Any suggestions how to do this? Separate location per referral source? Modifiers? How can I run per item reports?

@MitoRescue Hmm this is an interesting question!

If you did add a modifier to a sale it would be included in the Item Detail CSV. You can download that report from the Reports section of your Dashboard > click Item Sales > Export > select Item Detail CSV. 

You could also add a note to a sale - notes are also included in the Item Detail CSV report.

And I see another seller mentioned in a different thread that they used a 'zero price item' to track referrals. 

I'm not sure which option will best suit your business - it might be a case of trial and error for a while!
