Refund vs Void
What is the difference between voiding a customers sale and giving them a refund? Mainly I am trying to find the best way to keep my cup count on track.
There are some instances when a customer actually walks away with the cup and I need it to be marked in the system as gone. Then there are certain instances when it was actually a computer/employee error, and the cup is still physically there (and then it throws off my cup count) which is how I hold everyone accountable.
Does anyone know the answer to either one of these questions? I was thinking that the answer may lie inside of return vs void?
Thank You

A Refund is done after a sale is complete to return and item(s). A void is use with open orders. Void is basically cancelling the open order or items on the order before you finish the sale. Great for resturants were the ticket is ever changing until the guest Pays. Check this help page out.
Hope this helps.
