Problems Connecting Epson TM-T88V USB to Square Stand

Hello, I bought a Square Stand a couple weeks ago for my soon to be open store. A week ago I bought an Epson TM-T88V USB Thermal Printer online to use with the stand. I had only bought the thermal paper a couple days ago so I did not test it out right away. Now whenever I plug the printer in and turn it on, all I get via the Square app is an error saying USB device not supported. I specifically looked on the Square website and it claims this printer is compatible with the Square Stand. I have checked all my connections to the stand and printer. Any help would be appreciated as I am now in a time crunch to get this figured out.

Ancient post but the answer might still be useful to some. The TM-T88V supports two USB interface modes, "vendor" mode and "printer" mode. It needs to be set to "printer" mode to work with Square. This can be done by following the instructions in the Epson technical reference for this printer. Basically, turn off, hold feed button down while turning on. A self test report will be printed, and also you will see the option to enter Mode Selection menu by holding down "feed" for more than one second. Do that. Next menu presents option 3 to Customise Value Settings. Press feed quickly 3 times then hold down feed. Another options list will be printed. Option 11 is USB Interface Settings. That means - you guessed it - you need to press feed quickly 11 times then hold it down. The next menu gives you only one choice. Press feed quickly once and hold down to enter Class menu. Press feed twice quickly to select Printer Class then hold down feed. Setting saves automatically. Hopefully printer will be recognised by Square now. You may need to reset your Square device though.
