New Register (Not iOS app) Refund by Item

Recently, Square implemented the ability to refund by ITEM, in the original Square POS software...which was AWESOME!!  However, we recently purchased and are using the new Square Register system, which is Android-based.

With the change-over to the new Register, we lost the ability to issue refunds by item (ie: customer bought 4 items, and is returning 1 of the items).  So, we now have to revert to calculating the refund amount (item price + taxes charged), manually, and issue the refund based on amount....which is incredibly UN-AWESOME!!

When will the per-item-refund functionality be added to the new Register version?!?!?!

In the ios version of square you can select certain items to refund and it calculates tax and such. Now that I primarily use the new square terminal that has square pos software on it, that function seems to be gone. It is extremely difficult when people want partial refunds. Am I missing something or does this need to be added?

@Overcast @tbenson You're right, the ability to process itemized refunds on the new Square Register is not available — yet. Our engineers are working as hard as possible to get this feature up and running. As soon as this feature is live I'll update this thread to let you know.
