Need a password to change item descriptions

I am looking for a way to keep employees from being able to make changes: item descriptions, banking information, etc.

Can Square be set-up with a password to allow only authorized people authority to make these changes?

Square can definitely be set up for permissions. Take a look at the Team Management page to get started. You can designate passcodes and various levels of access per employee once it's enabled.
